Background

Lyminge Dramatic Society has been in operation for over 50 years*.  The present committee and members enjoy putting on productions and are keen for new members to join us.

Traditionally we put on two main productions a year, usually late March and late November for four nights each.  Plays range from comedies to straight plays and everything in between.

From time to time we may put on a Variety Show. We also enjoy staging the occasional evening entertainment as part of a ‘bring your own supper’ in the village hall.

Socially we may have visits to a local theatre, a Christmas Meal, a local walk and lunch.  When possible the Society also gets involved in local events.

We organise regular play-reading evenings in The Coach and Horses at Lyminge, to which non-members are also welcome. This may be an easy way to find out whether a theatre group would be a good hobby for you!
